E36 Smoked Boulevardier cocktail

A blend of tea leaves in the tincture gives this drink its sultry smokiness

With TIFF wrapping up at the end of the week, let's have a toast to another great year with this smoky cocktail crafted by Julien Salomone, master mixologist and co-owner of East Thirty-Six, inspired by Demolition.

1 oz. Maker's Mark
3/4 oz. Aperol
3/4 oz. Lillet Rouge
2 drops smoked tincture
orange twist, to garnish

Pour all ingredients except orange twist into mixing glass, stir, and pour into a Coupe glass. Garnish with a flamed orange twist.

Smoked tincture

1 cup Spirytus Gdanski, ((76% alc./vol. vodka))
4 tbsp Russian Caravan tea leaves

Combine vodka and tea in a mason jar, and let steep for 24 to 48 hours.
