Ki Modern Japanese + Bar's duck lettuce wraps

Feel free to use any kind of meat (or keep it vegetarian) for this Asian dish

A tasty and healthy Asian-inspired meal doesn't get any easier than lettuce wrap. If you don't have cooked duck meat on hand, other meats will do. For best results, make them like Ki Modern Japanese + Bar does, with kabayaki sauce, a Japanese sweet soy-based sauce mostly used for grilling eel. It is available at most Asian supermarkets. Otherwise, feel free to substitute with a sweet barbecue sauce.

2/3 cup cooked duck leg meat, cut into 1/4" cubes
1/4 Spanish onion, cut into 1/4" cubes
4 fresh shiitake mushrooms, cut into 1/4" cubes
carrots, cut into 1/4" cubes
celery, cut into 1/4" cubes
4 water chestnut, cut into 1/4" cubes
2 tbsp kabayaki sauce
1 tbsp sriracha sauce
1/2 head iceberg lettuce
red cabbage, shredded, optional
green onions, sliced on an angle, optional

In a frying pan over high heat, add vegetable oil and saute duck and diced vegetables until tender.

Add kabayaki and sriracha sauce.

Divide duck and vegetable mixture between 4 large lettuce cups. Add addition sauce to taste, and garnish with red cabbage and green onions.
