The Strange Brew Caesar

A cocktail recipe with craft Caesar mix, vodka, lager, and garnished with maple and candied salmon or caribou jerky.

Just because it's a cocktail, doesn't mean you shouldn't be picky about what goes in.

Walter Caesar mix is Canada's first all-natural, Canadian-made, craft Caesar mix, and it's even recommended by Ocean Wise. With that as a base, and a good lager and vodka added in, this Caesar will be hard to beat.

maple syrup
1 tbsp maple sugar
1 tbsp coarse sea salt
1 tsp cracked black pepper
4 oz. Walter All-Natural Craft Caesar Mix (mildly spiced)
1 oz. vodka
4 oz. lager
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
hot sauce, to taste
candied salmon, to garnish
1 wedge lime, to garnish

Pour maple syrup into a small dish wider than the rim of the beer mug. In a separate shallow and wide dish, mix sugar, salt and pepper.

Dip rim of your cup in maple syrup, rolling around to coat the outside of the glass. Then, dip rim into seasoning mixture.

Fill glass to the brim with ice. Add Caesar mix, vodka, lager, worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Stir gently but thoroughly with bar spoon.

To garnish, lay candied salmon across brim of mug and add lime to rim.
