CTV’s The Launch series officially finished last week. All the winning musicians are now enjoying their moment in the spotlight having their songs streaming on the world’s largest online music platforms. The final chosen artist of the series is talented Toronto-based singer and songwriter: Ethan Young, who is also the youngest artist to be launched.

“Who doesn’t love fries, gravy and cheese?” Young joyfully asks over the phone when describing poutine, his favourite iconic Canadian food. Young is on the way to becoming a bit of an icon himself. While attending Karen Kain School of the Arts, the R&B and pop singer has been featured on three Mini Pop Kid albums that were sold internationally. His newly released single, “Giants”, is adding to his success.

Young regularly performs for at charity events, including those for ThreeToBe, Covenant House, Children’s Wish Foundation and Jacob’s Ladder. To take a break from working on his craft in the recording studio (and a break from hot Cheetos, as he sometimes includes in his riders) Young likes to head to the following places for his favourite eats.

My favourite place would probably be Rasa. It has a really good tasty food. Plus, my sister works there!

Dessert

Existential crisis: life without Krusty the Cone.

I like Sweet Jesus. [The goods there are] basically decorated ice cream with fun stuff like cereals, candy. My favourite one would probably be the red velvet.
