Calgary’s Barley and Smoke event returns August 27

The Calgary food and beverage community collaborate for a great cause

This week, the team behind charitable food, beverage, and music event Barley and Smoke announced that it will be returning to Enmax Park for its third annual installation in support of the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta

Like previous iterations, this year’s Barley and Smoke Grillin’ for a Cure event will bring together a collection of Calgary restaurants, chefs, and breweries to compete in categories like Best Beer, Best Hand-Held, and Best Food and Beverage Pairing.

In addition to seeing some of the city’s best food and beverage businesses go head-to-head, event guests will also have a chance to sample offerings from each of the participating vendors, with 100 per cent of the event’s proceeds going directly to Kids Cancer Care and Camp Kindle. In terms of on-site entertainment, Barley and Smoke has stated guests can expect a diverse lineup of local musicians, dueling pianos, outdoor games, prize raffles, and more.

The third annual Barley and Smoke event is set to take place on August 27. Tickets can be purchased online.
