Top Chef Canada alumni Stephanie Ogilvie and Lauren Marshall announce vegan collaboration

Two acclaimed Halifax chefs team up for an 8-course vegan tasting menu

Since departing from its brick-and-mortar location back in April, acclaimed Halifax chef Stephanie Ogilvie has taken Hop Scotch Dinner Club back to its roots by providing diners with experiential pop-up tasting menus at Bliss Caffeine Bar.

This week, chef Ogilvie announced that for Hop Scotch’s next tasting menu, she’ll be teaming up with fellow Top Chef Canada fan favourite Lauren Marshall of Real Fake Meats to host an 8-course tasting menu showcasing Nova Scotian-inspired plant-based cuisine.

While the menu itself likely won’t be revealed until the pop-up takes place, considering the two chefs involved, it's safe to expect an assortment of highly creative and visually stunning offerings that celebrate both seasonality and local producers from throughout the region.

The 8-course vegan tasting menu pop-up is taking place at Bliss Caffeine Bar on Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6. Tickets can be purchased online at $120 per person with optional wine and non-alcoholic pairings available upon checkout.
