A fun tropical cocktail pop-up is happening in Calgary March 30-31

A popular Calgary event space goes into "vacation mode"

It might stay chilly and snowy for most of March, but Calgary's The Prairie Emporium is bringing the sunshine-and-beachy vibes with an upcoming cocktail pop-up.

Dubbed "Paradise Emporium", the space attached to Ill Fated Kustoms will be getting a little tropical makeover for March 30 and 31. It's planning to offer a mix of fruity, booze-forward cocktails in quirky glassware and ceramic mugs along with some refreshing eats.

Bartenders will be slinging two different boozy slushies, plenty of rum-based drinks and even a few non-alcoholic options like The CJ Parker, an ode to Pamela Anderson's Baywatch character. The Paradise Emporium food menu will include snacks freshly-made beef and veggie patties by Simply Irie, a chips and Unimarket salsa platter, jackfruit tacos, grilled prawn cobb salad, seafood dip and more.

The pop-up will take place on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31 from 6 p.m. to late. People can RSVP for seats via Showpass and limited seats will also be available nightly on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Prairie Emporium is located at 300-334 53 Avenue S.E. For more event updates, follow the space on Instagram: @theprairieemporium.
