SAIT offering free safer hospitality spaces seminar on March 27

A timely inclusion-focused seminar for restaurant industry professionals

As the world continues to feel very broken, it's always uplifting to see different individuals and organizations aiming to educate and improve the world around them. The latest free-to-attend seminar of SAIT's Inclusion Talks series is hoping to do just that, being geared towards educating industry professionals on creating safer hospitality spaces.

The seminar is taking place via Zoom on Monday, March 27 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and will be hosted by SAIT School of Hospitality and Tourism instructor (and award-winning bartender) Madeleine MacDonald. It promises to be an engaging presentation with rooted in education, but also offering opportunities for discussion with virtual attendees.

MacDonald will not only discuss current inclusion and diversity issues many restaurant patrons and staff can experience these days, but will also offer tips on bystander intervention and prevention.

Hospitality professionals in Calgary and beyond can register for the virtual seminar via SAIT's website.
