There are lots of options for celebrating the holidays with friends that don't involve a turkey and stuffing, like going out for sushi instead. Toronto's Miku, known for its aburi (flame-seared) sushi and cocktails, is celebrating the holiday season with this cocktail, which combines the flavours of pear, cinnamon and brandy. You can make it at home with this recipe.

1 ½ oz. Dillon's Pear Brandy
1 ½ oz. Kraken Spiced Rum
1 ½ oz. Marie Duffau Bas Armagnac Napoleon
1 tbsp spiced honey
1 pinch freshly grated cinnamon, for garnish
1 bosc pear, thinly sliced, for garnish

Stir all ingredients, except garnish, on ice until well mixed. Strain into a carafe and warm in a warm water bath, or gently in the microwave until warm.

Serve in vintage crystal, topped with freshly grated cinnamon and pear slices.
