This is a classic cognac cocktail, first published in 1922, that's a great entry point for someone who would like to get into brandy.
1 1/2 oz. Hennessy Very Special Cognac
3/4 oz. Cointreau
3/4 oz. lemon juice
Pour orange liqueur, lemon juice, and Hennessy cognac into a mixing glass.
Shake well with ice and strain into a martini or coupe glass with a sugared rim.
Garnish with an orange peel.
