With hardly any details whatsoever (isn't that always the Montreal restaurateur way, though?), David McMillan and Fred Morin, owners of the famed Joe Beef, Le Vin Papillon and Liverpool House, announced via Instagram that they would be bringing a new wine bar concept to the North American culinary mecca this winter.

A small restaurant space in Little Italy will undergo renovations over the next handful of months and emerge as a concept yet to be determined, but we can expect it to be within the realm of European cuisine and offer plenty of funky, natural wines.

Similar to Grant van Gameren's mantra of taking long-term staff and upgrading them to co-owners in his Toronto restaurant group, Bar a Vin Mon Lapin will see several long-term employees--including Beef's familiar face and chef, Marc-Olivier Frappier--going into ownership collectively.

It's a fairly general consensus across the country that McMillan and Morin have the innate ability to create phenomally successful concepts, so Mon Lapin will likely be no exception.
