With no shortage of meal kit options on the market, the Western-Canadian-based Fresh Prep is taking its claim with a focus on sustainability, affordability and local when it comes to its offerings.
Fresh Prep always offers 10 interesting meal kit recipe options each week, including five plant-based or plant-leaning meals, and at a price point that won’t break the bank there is always something to look forward to. They’ve also got plenty of Add-ons like prepared meals and salads (when you really don’t feel like cooking, healthy snacks and pantry staples, some of which are sourced from Alberta-based businesses too.
Perhaps most importantly, Fresh Prep is proud to proclaim itself as “the most sustainable meal kit company in Canada” thanks to their use of reusable, insulated cooler bags with reusable ice packs. Some meals even come in a reusable Zero Waste Kit, which helps a home cook feel just as great about the whole process and not just what ends up on the plate as its what the name suggests - zero waste. Significantly reducing the use of single-use plastic and food waste.
