It is with this ongoing waste crisis in mind that OneCoffee, a Canadian company, created a 100% compostable single-serve coffee pod product made with organic, fair trade coffee, hoping to help reduce the country’s pod trash problem with a made-in-Canada solution. The pods and their design are comprised of things like biodegradable ink, paper and compastable plastics, all of which can break down in a commercial compost, something which most major Canadian cities now offer.
