This week, there is a wide variety of live music happening throughout Alberta at cool venues. Of course, there is plenty of food and drink to be had along with all of the great musical acts.

Here are our picks for live shows across Alberta that are taking place between August 23 and 29.

Calgary

Jamboree for Charity: One Night Only (August 28)

On August 28th, Mawer and Sirius XM present the 9th annual Jamboree for Charity at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham. Featuring artists such as Dallas Smith, Jojo Mason, Andrew Hyatt, Shawn Austin and Kelly Prescott, the funds will be raised in support of Lifted - a Dallas Smith Charitable organization and Unison Benevolent fund. Grab your tickets for a great night of live music with some of Canada’s top country artists. 

 

Over the Moon at King Eddy (August 27)

Acoustic roots duo, Over the Moon will be taking the stage at the King Eddy on August 27th at 8pm. King Eddy has a great variety of food and drink options, head on down for a night of great food and music.

 

Chandler Berardi with Elle McAndrews at Koi (August 26)

Koi will host Canadian songwriter Chandler Berardi on August 26th at 7pm with Elle McAndrews. Koi has a delicious lineup of food and drinks to try out, you don’t wanna miss it!

 

Allison Lynch with Mark Limacher at Betty Lou's Library (August 24)

 

​Join multi-instrumentalist Allison Lynch alongside versatile pianist and composer Mark Limacher at Betty Lou's on August 24th at 7pm. Betty Lou's Library is known for their great atmostphere and cocktails. For a night of classic jazz music, be sure to check it out!

Edmonton

El Niven at Mercer Tavern (August 26)

Western rock songwriter El Niven will be taking the stage at Mercer Tavern on Thursday, August 26th at 7pm. Mercer Tavern has a full food and drink menu with something for everyone. El Niven brings a whole new take on Western rock with his creative and authentic lyrics, be sure to check it out!

Lyndsay Butler at Dance at the Ranch (August 28)
