With the East Coast's first plant-based "butcher" shop on the cusp of opening in downtown Halifax, people are getting really excited, because Real Fake Meats has been assembling and sending out their butcher boxes for quite awhile now, most of which sell out within a day or two.
Chef and shop owner Lauren Marshall recently had a preview tasting event for her Real Fake Meats shop, where people sampled an array of her plant-based "meats", cheeses, spreads and more.
Always willing to share her tips and tricks, Marshall wants one lucky person to win an in-store seitan workshop for four so the group can learn how to use vital wheat gluten at home to create their own delicious dishes.
