December 8th: Private plant-based cheese making course with Virtuous Pie

Perhaps one of the biggest sacrifices with following a plant-based diet is giving up cheese. While avoiding meat is relatively easy, cheese is in all kinds of delicious and comforting foods from lasagna and casseroles to pizza. Well, Virtuous Pie, a 100 per cent plant-based restaurant in Vancouver's Chinatown, wants to help you enjoy cheese again with its plant-based cheese making course.

Virtuous Pie wants to invite you and a guest for a morning of plant-based cheese making, which includes:

  • one on one culinary education from our Chef
  • learn essential techniques of plant-based cooking
  • step-by-step instruction in making your cheese
  • your own nut-based cheese to take home

To win this unique experience, tell us which of the following is usually used in making vegan or plant-based "cheese": nutritional yeast, butter, cream or rennet.

Details: Class to take place at 583 Main Street, Vancouver, BC. The time: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. on an agreed upon Saturday or Sunday between January and June 2017. Additional prize details here.
