Yesterday, Saskatoon's longstanding live music venue Amigos Cantina announced that it will begin its own enforcement of pandemic-related restrictions when it resumes its live music calendar in September.

"All fans, staff and artists must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after the second dose) and provide proof of vaccination," explains the COVID-19 event protocol post on its Instagram account. It goes on to say that people unwilling or unable to provide proof of vaccination are able to request a refund for any concert tickets purchased up to 48 hours before the respective event's start time.

Though Amigos is the first bar in Saskatchewan to announce plans for their own pandemic-related protocols, other restaurants such as Edmonton's Fleisch and Winnipeg's Academy Hospitality Group are also opting for similar procedures. Quebec will also launch a province-wide proof of vaccination mandate–limiting non-vaccinated individuals access to restaurants, bars, event venues, gyms and more– on September 1.
