The addition of orange blossom water and cherries lightens up the traditional Old-Fashioned, while retaining the true flavours of the original.

Christopher Cho, General Manager and Bar Manager of Ayden Kitchen & Bar, advises double straining cocktails when it's made with muddled fruits.

1½ oz. Bulleit Bourbon
4 Brandied cherries
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
2 dashes Orange blossom water
1 Raw sugar cube
1 Orange

In a Boston glass shaker, add sugar cube, orange blossom water and Angostura bitters.

Add orange peel and brandied cherry.

Muddle until sugar cube dissolves.

Add bourbon and ice, and stir until the drink is diluted and chilled, about a minute.

Double strain the cocktail into an Old Fashioned glass.

Add ice.

Garnish:

Peel the zest of an orange and release the oil directly over the cocktail and drop the peel into the cocktail.

Skewer 3 brandied cherries and add that to the drink.

Enjoy!
