It feels like just yesterday that our fifth annual Shake, Stir and Strainbow! campaign got underway, but as they say, time really does fly when you’re having fun. And although the campaign is coming to its conclusion, that doesn’t mean we have to stop sipping fun Pride-themed cocktails any time soon. 

This cocktail comes courtesy of Calgary’s Home and Away, whose storied history shares a unique connection with Calgary’s queer community.

“We chose this cocktail name in honour of Lois Szabo, who co-founded Club Carousel, which was located at our location downstairs. We still have some of the old carousel wallpaper in some of our basement back rooms," Home and Away's Alanna Jalkotzy explains. "The cocktail itself is delicious and refreshing, balancing mint and juniper with pomegranate and cranberry.”
