Avocado and green pea dip

Cheer for our Olympic medal contenders with this avocado and pea dip from Atsuko Tanaka at your party

Atsuko Tanaka will be flying high as part of the Canadian Women's ski jumping team at the Winter Olympics. While cheering on our winter athletes over the next couple of weeks from the comfort of your own home, you may as well have some fuel yourself. This recipe by Lesley Stowe, inspired by Tanaka, is a bright to taste as our nationalistic pride runs deep. Go Canada!

Avocado and green pea dip

1 ripe avocado
2 tbsp lime juice
1/2 clove garlic
2 cups green peas, thawed
1 tsp sea salt
1 dash cayenne pepper

Spoon out the avocado flesh and put into a food processor. Add lime juice, garlic, green peas and salt into processor, then process until you have a smooth puree.

Add a dash of cayenne or some hot sauce for a kick!

Serve with Raincoast Seed Crisps.
