Bartending maven and Bittered Sling Extracts proprietor Lauren Mote recently teamed up with Vancouver's YEW Seafood + Bar to concoct a series of cocktails inspired by the five oceans. The 16 or so cocktails are divided among oceans: The Atlantic, Indian, Pacfic, Arctic and Southern. Within the selection of The Atlantic inspired cocktails, the Glacial Snout speaks to us with its smoky and herbal notes. It's winter and it's Canada; we want to cozy up to the fireplace with some peat and moss.
Glacial Snout
1 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
1/2 oz. Laphroaig Quarter Cask
1/2 oz. Yellow Chartreuse
1/2 oz. lemon juice
1/4 oz. Irish moss juniper and rosemary syrup
2 dashes Bittered Sling ​Cascade Celery bitters
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake ingredients together, and pour into coupe glass. Serve neat, and garnish with rosemary.
