Hy’s Steakhouse set to host Stampede breakfast on July 10

Hy’s continues its Stampede breakfast tradition in support of Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society

Despite the cancellation of the 2020 Calgary Stampede and the temporary pause on many of its corresponding festivities, Hy’s Steakhouse and Cocktail Bar just announced that their annual Stampede breakfast in support of the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society will proceed as planned on July 10.

Historically served outdoors and buffet-style, this year’s Hy’s Stampede breakfast will take place indoors, and guests will be treated to the restaurant’s popular prime beef hash and eggs, along with orange juice, and freshly-brewed coffee or tea.

And while it would have been easy to look at the many challenges associated with hosting a Stampede event in the current climate and postpone until next year, the Hy’s team believes their annual contribution to the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society is too important to pass on.

"We have been proud to support the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society for many years with our Stampede breakfast," said Barb Steen, Hy's general manager. "We wanted to make sure that the charity was still able to receive the funds they need to carry out their life-saving work."

A hundred per cent of the proceeds raised at Hy’s Stampede breakfast will go toward the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, improving the outcome and quality of life for those affected by burns and other severe skin injuries.

Hy's Stampede breakfast takes place on July 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To attend, Hy’s is asking for a minimum donation of $5. With physical distancing precautions in place, Hy's recommends that guests arrive early to secure a seat, or make a reservation online. As always, the Calgary Firefighters will also be on site throughout the event.
