The 77th edition of the Restaurants Canada trade show is set to take place in Toronto and online this upcoming February, and this week, Canada’s premier foodservice and hospitality event announced what Canada’s culinary community can look forward to.

Although the comprehensive calendar of events has yet to be published in full, Restaurants Canada has stated that this year’s trade show will direct its attention towards issues of diversity, inclusion, and equity.

One of the main avenues for discussion will take place via the Business Panel where panelists like Cheryl Appleton (Canadian Women in Food), chef Adrian Forte (Top Chef Canada finalist and hospitality consultant), Kevin Eshkawkogan (Indigenous Tourism Ontario), chef Trevor Lui (Quell), and Gerry Fernandez (The Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance) will discuss new data and statistics that show where some progress has been made, as well as where the industry has room to grow in 2022 and beyond.

Tickets for both in-person and online attendance can currently be purchased online, with prices expected to rise on February 27. More information about the trade show can be found here.
