There's a new, easy salad dressing recipe in town...and it's here to stay!
With a plethora of locally-grown (and possibly even backyard-grown) vegetables at your fingertips right now, there is no better time of year to be making a salad. Regardless of if you are a big, leafy-green salad person, a tomato-and-cucumber chunky salad person (or somewhere in-between), you'll agree that a quality salad dressing is what really helps in-season produce pop.
This Dijon mustard and horseradish salad dressing recipe has just five ingredients and can be whipped up in no-time.
The key to this recipe is two-part, and the first is opting for a great quality Dijon mustard. Seeing as Maille is arguably the OG, and largely made with Prairie-grown mustard seeds, the Dijon Original is we reach for on the grocery store shelf.
Next, is the creamed horseradish. While prepared horseradish can be fairly intense, the creamed variety will offer some sweetness and salt to mellow out the pungency horseradish is famous for.
This recipe calls for canola oil, but feel free to swap it out for olive oil if that's your go-to oil at home.
Dijon, horseradish, and honey salad dressing

Once fully combined, continue to whisk while slowly pouring canola oil into the bowl. The dressing with emulsify and thicken as you go.
Once oil is added, stir in the 1 Tbsp of Maille Whole Grain Mustard and season to taste with salt and pepper if desired and then transfer to container or bottle and store in the fridge to use as desired.
(Note: This dressing can also be served as a side sauce with grilled meats like chicken thighs and steaks.)
