You know a drink is good when it has been made for over a century. The Spritz Veneziano, as the Italians call it, is more than good, it's great...and it is also one of the most idyllic drinks to sip in the summertime.
It's most iconic variation, of course, is the Aperol Spritz. That said, it can be fun to play around with other aperitifs as well such as Campari.
With an easy ratio of 3:2:1 (wine, aperitif and soda respectively), it might just be the easiest and most versatile drink recipe out there.
You'll find the classic recipe for an Aperol Spritz below, and if you've never made one before: What the heck are you waiting for?
Aperol Spritz
3 oz good quality prosecco
2 oz Aperol
1 oz soda water
1 orange slice, for garnish
Fill a large wine glass or Aperol Spritz glass with ice.
Add prosecco, then Aperol and top with soda.
