Incorporate Odd Society Spirit's newest offering, the salal gin, into your cocktail this Halloween. This black and mysterious drink combines whisky, gin, vermouth, and a hint of fruit from the salal gin and cherry juice for a punchy sip.
1 oz. Odd Society Prospector Rye Whisky
1/2 oz. Odd Society Salal gin
1/2 oz. vermouth blend
1/2 oz. unsweetened cherry juice
1 barspoon Fernet-Branca
1 pinch activated charcoal
1 strip lemon peel
1 brandied cherry, for garnish
Combine all ingredients, except lemon peel and brandied cherry, over ice, stir and strain into chilled coupe.
Express lemon peel over drink and discard.
Garnish with brandied cherry.
Vermouth blend
1 part Dubonnet Rouge
1 part barrel-aged Odd Society Bittersweet Vermouth
In a glass, mix together Dubonnet and vermouth.
