It's cottage season again and this Lumberjack cocktail from Vancouver's Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar is great for those breezy nights around the fire with a hoodie and a blanket.

Spiced raisin butter

1 cup salted butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 cup golden raisins

In saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar and spices. Stir until butter dissolves. 

In a food processor or blender, add raisins and liquid butter. Blend slowly until smooth. 

Pour into a mason jar and let cool. 

Keep refrigerated until ready to use.

1/2 oz. Jim Beam bourbon whisky
1/2 oz. Galliano Vanilla Liqueur
1 tsp spiced raisin butter
5 oz. hot apple cider
whipped cream, optional garnish

In a pre-heated coffee cup, add liquor, spiced raisin butter and hot apple cider. 

Stir until butter dissolves. 

Top with whipped cream. 

Garnish with cinnamon snap cookie.
