Vancouver's iconic cherry blossom season is one of the most beautiful times of the year in the west coast city. It also provides colourful and fresh inspiration for many restaurant and bar menus across the city, resulting in some gorgeous reasons to dine out.
Getting a head start on all things cherry blossom and spring-y, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver has just announce that its Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea would be returning to Notch8 as of February 23. Available Thursdays through Sundays until May 21 (with three seating times: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.), Vancouver-based Koncept Designs has transformed the lower level tea room into yet another immersive experience for patrons, this time by way of a spring-inspired decor of blossoms and blooms aplenty.
The afternoon tea menu is $74 per person ($37 for children 12 and under) and includes a selection of loose-leaf tea, and unique bites by chef Danai Hongwanishkul like Konbini egg salad sandwich, Sakura pork katsu, black sesame cookies, cherry mascarpone verrines, and more.
Reservations can now be made online via OpenTable. Afternoon tea can also be reserved in Tea-to-Go format by ordering in advance online. For every afternoon tea sold through the season, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will plant one tree through One Tree Planted.
