Skip the powdered sweet stuff and make an iced tea with healthy and natural ingredients. Blueberries, green tea and honey join forces to make one hell of a refreshing drink. Try making this a little more "adult" by adding a splash or two of gin or vodka, you know, as a toast to good health. Cheers!
Green tea and blueberry iced tea
2 cups B.C. blueberries, fresh or frozen, divided
1/4 cup honey
3 tea bags green tea
In a saucepan over high heat, bring 3 cups of water, half of the blueberries and honey to a boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, add the tea bags and steep for 6 - 7 minutes. Strain through a sieve and add 1 cup of cold water.
Serve over ice with remaining blueberries as garnish.
