We're probably all familiar with, and potentially moved on from, the classic Cosmopolitan cocktail. To give this ubiquitous cocktail an update, H Tasting Lounge (inside Vancouver's Westin Bayshore) has come up with this Metropolitan cocktail that replaces cranberry notes with kiwi bitters. If you can't make it to H Tasting Lounge's new patio to enjoy the drink, make it at home until you do.
1 drop Apothecary lime bitters
2 drops Ms. Betters kiwi sumac bitters
1/2 oz. Carpano Bianco vermouth
2 oz. Stoli Elit vodka
3 to 4 cubes ice
Add all ingredients into a shaker, stir over ice, strain and serve.
Best sipped from a small Nick and Nora glass.
