Now that June's here, it's Pride month. Individuals and businesses are making the most of it across the country. From Pride-themed cider in Halifax to a schwack of interesting and inclusive events like Lilith Fair's upcoming one-woman drag dinner theatre show at Yellowhead Brewery, it's nice to see the majority of Canada supporting the community during an important time of year.
While Calgary Pride is still a couple of month away (from August 23 to September 1, to be exact), we're excited to be partnering with them again this year for Drags Benny 2.0. Our headliner for the June 23 brunch is none other than Jade Jolie of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Her stunning, bubbly and glittery presence inspired the barkeeps at Fairmont Palliser's new Hawthorn Dining Room and Bar to come up with this refreshing brunch cocktail using Eau Claire Distillery cherry gin.
Jade Jolie's "All that glitters" cocktail
Place all ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice and shake for 15 seconds.
Pour into martini glass and serve.
If desired, add plastic stir stick to swirl cocktail with for a bonus fabulous effect!
