Jimmy Nguyen's Cuban Cola recipe

Get a taste of Cuba in Calgary with this cocktail

The Canadian Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition just wrapped up in Toronto and a handful of some of the country's top mixologists competed and won with their respective unique expert cocktails. Lucky for you, we've swiped Jimmy Nguyen's regional winning recipe.

"This is the drink that I won the regional competition in Calgary with, and it's what I took to the final competition in Toronto! The [Cuban Cola] is inspired by a trip I took to Cuba, embracing the flavours and history of Cuba with their rum, coffee and chocolate," says Nguyen.

If you're in Calgary, AB, and you're too lazy to shake this drink up for yourself even with the intense craving, you can currently find this drink at these spots: Teatro, Cucina, Ca'Puccini, Living Room, Milk Tiger, Model Milk, Anju, Ox & Angela, Cilantro, Raw Bar By Duncan Ly and Anejo.
