After following her 2020 debut album with a huge year in 2021 that included two Billboard charting singles, hundreds of thousands of streams, and millions of TikTok views, B.C.-born Métis artist Teigen Gayse appears poised for yet another big year in 2022.

Her latest single, “Messed Up” has already received widespread praise as one of the year’s hottest love anthems and has garnered placements such as Amazon Music's Breakthrough Country, Fresh Country, and Brand New Music, as well as Spotify's Live Country and New Music Friday Canada.

With Gayse getting set to begin a new B.C. tour on May 28, we decided it would be a perfect time to chat with the rising country star about her favourite food and beverage spots in her home base of Kelowna.

Probably The Bohemian Cafe because everything is homemade and local. They make the best homemade bread and jam.

Lunch

Cactus Club is a go-to for me. I could go there for lunch, dinner or drinks and be happy. I’m obsessed with the lettuce wraps, I get them every time.

Dinner

Modest Butcher has become a favourite of mine. Good vibe, good wine and unreal food! You have to try the Tomahawk Steak once in your life.

Drinks

Friends of Dorothy have the best cocktails and appies. I love drinks with egg whites in them and they have three on the menu. They also have the best cheese fondue.
