Sometimes, you want a tea with gusto in your cocktail to stand up to strong liquors. Other times, you want something light and beautiful for a refreshing summer drink, like this butterfly pea tea from Royal Dinette. Kaitlyn Stewart uses this colour tea in this lemonade. Try it on a hot summer day.
2 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. simple syrup
1 dash orange bitters
2 oz. Butterfly Pea Tea, (Stewart uses Chisa Herb Butterfly Pea Tea from Amazon.ca)
1 slice dried citrus, for garnish
Combine all ingredients, except butterfly pea tea, into shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled and strain into water glass.
Top with butterfly pea tea and dried citrus fruit.
