The Tennessee Tavern in Toronto, Ont. is a kitschy bar with a kick-ass Eastern European menu, heavyweight drink list, and a long and storied history. In an attempt not to mess with perfection, the team at Tennessee is serving their Negroni with equal parts Beefeater gin, Campari and Dolin vermouth on the rocks with an orange twist. It's hard to agree with an "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" mantra when a drink tastes as good as this.
Since it's currently Negroni Week, a portion of proceeds from this cocktail at Tennessee Tavern will be going to the Parkdale Community Food Bank.
Tennessee Tavern's Negroni
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce Beefeater Gin
1 ounce Dolin Sweet Vermouth
1 strip orange zest
In a rocks glass, add Campari, gin, and vermouth.
Stir and garnish with an orange rind.
