This Halloween, instead of an orange or pumpkin spice cocktail, make this licorice flavoured cocktail to set the mood. Made by Megan Lihou of The Union in Vancouver, this Gold Dust Woman cocktail is inspired by Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks and it's perfect for the occasion. It's available at The Union from October 27th to 31st, but you can make it at home any night you want.

2 tsp edible gold dust, for garnish
2 oz. turmeric-infused vodka
2 dashes black walnut bitters
2 to 3 drops cherry cedar bitters
1/4 oz. gomme syrup
1 dash citric acid
1/4 barspoon activated charcoal

Rim a coupe glass with edible gold dust.

Combine vodka, bitters, gomme syrup and citric acid in a mixing glass, then add the 1/4 bar-spoon of activated charcoal last (so it dissolves easier).

Fill glass with ice and stir for about 15 to 20 seconds for the best dilution.

Strain into the coupe with the gold dust rim.
