January can be a tough month, with winter in full swing and all the holiday festivities over. If you need a dose of sunshine, The Waldorf in Vancouver can take you to Polynesia with its new Tiki Bar, formerly the Tahitian Cocktail Lounge. There, you'll find bar manager Aimée Corno, previously of Homer Street Café and Bar, Maenam and The Acorn, shaking up exotic drinks like this Cobra Women cocktail. 

1/2 oz. Los Siete Misterios Doba Yej Mezcal
1 1/2 oz. Cachcai 51
1 oz. cherry-infused Alvear Fino Sherry
1/2 oz. housemade Falernum
1 dash citric acid and saline solution
1 dash Scrappys barrel aged orange bitters
1 barspoon grenadine
1 strip lime zest, for garnish
edible flower, for garnish

Add all ingredients, except garnish, into beaker, add ice and stir for 12 to 15 seconds. 

Strain and Pour over ice mold. Pour bar spoon of grenadine over drink to simulate venom.

Garnish with lime twist and edible flower.
