Yesterday we shared a slew of interesting live music events happening in Edmonton this month, but we haven’t forgotten our friends in Calgary! 

From an all-star lineup joining forces to celebrate International Women’s Day at the National Music Centre to the Big Winter Classic taking place over multiple weeks toward the end of the month, here’s where to find live music throughout the month of March.

Women's Day Showcase: Nice Horse, Mariel Buckley, and Bebe Buckskin (March 5)

Head to the National Music Centre on March 5 in celebration of International Women’s Day to see Nice Horse, Mariel Buckley and Bebe Buckskin. This is an amazing line up that you don’t want to miss!

El Niven & The Alibi at the King Eddy (March 5)

Edmonton based Western blues-rock group El Niven & The Alibi will take the stage at the King Eddy on March 5. Show starts at 8:30 p.m.

Battle of Santiago at Arts Commons (March 10)

Juno-nominated group Battle of Santiago will bring their powerhouse show to Arts Commons on March 10. With a sound that combines Afro-Cuban rhythms and chants with a Canadian post-rock spirit, you don’t want to miss it.
