A little tequila in a well-made cocktail never hurt anybody, right? Try this recipe from one of Western Canada's leading mixologists, Christopher Cho, the next time you want to impress some craft cocktail-loving friends.
Tequila Martinez cocktail
1 1/2 oz. Tequila Blanco
1/4 oz. Amaro Montenegro
1/4 oz. maraschino liqueur
1/2 oz. sweet Vermouth
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
2 dashes orange bitters
orange peel, for garnish
In a Boston shaker add the tequila, amaro, maraschino, vermouth, Angostura and orange bitters.
Add ice and stir until the cocktail is chilled and diluted.
Strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish and rim with an orange peel.
