No smoker? No problem. Make ribs like Michael Kaisaris does at B.C.'s Re-Up BBQ, a local barbecue joint of New Westminster, with this recipe. Don't knock oven-baked ribs until you try it.
pork baby back ribs, half as many racks of ribs as you have people to serve
Re-Up BBQ spice rub
French's yellow mustard
Re-Up BBQ rib sauce, or other sweet and sour-style BBQ sauce
Pull the membrane off of the backside of the rib racks, and rub both sides with just enough mustard for a light coating.
Sprinkle the spice rub evenly on both sides of the racks. Cover, and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat your oven to 235 F.
Place the ribs on a foiled sheet pan. Only cook as many ribs as can fit in one layer.
Bake in the oven for 2 hours, or longer if you desire a more tender consistency.
Use a silicon pastry brush to glaze each rack with BBQ sauce, and place them back in the oven for another 5 minutes. Slice and serve.
