It's hard to believe, but the Toronto International Film Festival has been around for 40 years. To celebrate TIFF's birthday, Julien Salomone, master mixologist and co-owner of East Thirty-Six and Boutique Bar, came up with the Golden Era cocktail, a Manhattan-like bourbon cocktail.
1 oz. Bourbon
1/2 oz. Amaro Montenegro
1/2 oz. white vermouth
1 dash bitters
lemon twist
In an Old Fashioned glass, pour all ingredients over ice and stir.
Garnish with a lemon twist.
