As we approach National Caesar Day, we continue our journey through some of our nation’s best renditions of the iconic cocktail and make a pit stop in Central Canada. The Central Canada Caesar combines quintessential Canadian ingredients like smoky maple syrup and Montreal steak spice with Ontario-based Dillon’s Vodka for a hearty drink with a Canadian kick.
The Central Canada Caesar
1 oz. Dillons vodka
4 oz. Walter Craft Caesar Mix – Smoky Maple
1 barspoon maple syrup
2 dashes hot sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch fresh grated horseradish
1 squeeze lime juice
2 dashes celery bitters (or pinch celery salt)
1 lime wedge, for garnish
pickled beets, for garnish, optional
slices of cured meat, for garnish, optional
Rim glass with good quality Canadian maple syrup and Montreal steak spice.
Fill glass full with ice, add vodka, Walter Craft Caesar Mix, remaining ingredients (except garnish), and stir gently.
Garnish with pickled beets, charcuterie, fresh lime wedge and serve.
