Skip the vodka and reach for Lillet and Campari instead when making a summer drink with watermelon. Vancouver's Juke came up with this recipe for a cocktail that, like the name suggests, is great for a hot Sunday morning in the summer.
3 Watermelon balls
1/2 oz. lemon juice
3/4 oz. Lillet Blanc
1/4 oz. simple syrup
1 oz. Campari
4 to 6 oz. soda
1 sprig mint, garnish
In a cocktail shaker, muddle watermelon with lemon juice, Lillet Blanc and simple syrup and shake until smooth.
Add Campari to the bottom of a tall collins glass and top with ice.
Pour the watermelon mixture into the glass.
Top with soda water and a garnish with a sprig of mint.
