Edmonton's Rostizado to close permanently at the end of January

Tres Carnales' sister restaurant is also closing its doors

Two weeks after announcing the closure of Tres Carnales, restaurateurs Dani Braun and Chris Sills have just shared the news that their other contemporary Mexican concept Tres Carnales Rostizado would also be closing on January 31.

Originally opened eight and a half years as simply Rostizado, the downtown Edmonton restaurant on 104 Street N.W. quickly became popular with locals thanks to a vintage-chic bar area, a robust cocktail menu and well-composed menu items by former chef/owner Edgar Gutierrez. All of this helped to differentiate Rostizado from its sister spot Tres Carnales, as well as other Mexican eateries around the city.

"A huge shout out to our amazing guests throughout the years that allowed us to pursue and realize our dreams. We will forever be grateful for your support," wrote the restaurant on its farewell Instagram post.

No word yet on what industry veterans Sills and Braun plan to do next, but I'm sure we can bet on something new and exciting a bit further down the road.

The final day of operations for Tres Carnales Rostizado will be January 31, 2023.
