Canada’s Wonderland announces new food and drink festivals for 2022

The Vaughan theme park is reopening on April 30 with three new food festivals

Canada’s Wonderland is getting set to reopen this month after a two-year hiatus and in addition to the welcome return of several signature events, the Vaughan theme park will also be featuring a dynamic new lineup of food festivals in 2022.

Two food festivals making a return in 2022 are the annual Brew and BBQ festival and Oktoberfest. Similar to years past, the Brew and BBQ festival (June 24-26) will feature live music, craft beers and ciders, and a menu of ribs, gourmet burgers, and barbecue chicken, while Oktoberfest (Sept. 10-11, 17-18) will offer two weekends of classic German-themed fare and performances from traditional festival bands.

The three new festivals debuting at Canada’s Wonderland this year are Taste of Portugal (Aug. 13-14), Taste of Ireland (Aug 20-21), and Taste of the Caribbean (Aug. 27-28). Each of the three two-day festivals will offer festival-goers an array of authentic food and beverage specific to each country, along with unique live performances, traditional music, dancing, and more.

Finally, Celebration Canada (July 1-17) festival will also be returning in 2022 with a daily dose of Canadian music, street entertainment, and skills demonstrations from the West Coast Lumberjacks, followed by plenty of quintessential Canadian cuisine such as poutine, beef sliders, and butter tarts.
