Two of Winnipeg’s most well known culinary success stories are joining forces to spread some holiday cheer while raising funds for a great cause. For a very limited time, acclaimed baking duo Jenna Hutchingson and Ashley Kosowan of Jenna Rae Cakes will be creating one-of-a-kind custom gingerbread house kits that will be available for free through SkipTheDishes on December 12.
As you’d likely expect, the Wall of Bakers judges’ gingerbread house kits are immaculately designed and visually stunning. According to the announcement, anyone in Canada who spends more than $45 with Skip Express Lane between December 12 and 23 will receive an offer for a free kit, but since we’ve been able to confirm that there will only be a total of 250, we’d be shocked if quantities last beyond the first few days.
“We’ve built our company with a focus on celebrations, family and quality, and we’re excited to partner with Skip to share our exclusive gingerbread kit with Canadians through Express Lane,” says Hutchison. ”We’re delighted to offer Skip customers the sweet whimsy that Jenna Rae Cakes is known for, alongside an impactful cause over the holiday season.”
The Jenna Rae Cakes gingerbread house kits will become available on Skip Express Lane on December 12, with 15 per cent of all sales being donated directly to United Way Winnipeg’s Koats for Kids. A limited number of kids will also be available to purchase at Jenna Rae Cakes’ Winnipeg locations.
