B.C. spot prawn season is fast approaching and Vancouver’s Tojo’s Restaurant has just announced two incredibly opulent offerings to help commemorate the occasion.
Beginning on May 7, Tojo guests will have the opportunity to indulge in two separate seven-course omakase experiences that will each serve to celebrate the bounty of spot prawn season while highlighting springtime ingredients. Not unlike previous omakase experiences at Tojo’s, guests will have the option between two tiers: the Amaebi Omakase and the Tojo’s Ultimate Omakase.
Both menus feature a luxurious assortment of sushi and sashimi alongside spot prawn-centric dishes such as boiled spot prawns with cilantro and minced jalapeno vinaigrette and amaebi ceviche with yuzu vinaigrette, but if you’re looking to go the extra mile, you can opt for the latter to upgrade to wagyu steak and an enhanced selection of sashimi.
Tojo’s Restaurant is open Mondays through Thursdays from 5 to 10 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Reservations can be made online.
