With its shortest season to date, this year's Top Chef Canada had its eighth and final episode this past Sunday night, where four finalists from different regions across Canada were whittled down to two, making it an official West Coast versus East Coast battle for the crown.
Some production decisions regarding finalist Ross Larkin (chef de cuisine of Raymonds Restaurant's in St. John's) in both the finale Quickfire and elimination challenge give our co-hosts, Emma Waverman and Phil Wilson, fair reasons to raise their eyebrows (or at least one of them). Outside of that, the two discuss the intensity of the episode and ponder whether or not the Top Chef Canada judges take an entire season's performance into account when crowning a new top chef or whether a chef truly is "only as good as his or her last dish", as they so frequently say.
Be on the look out for part two of podcast episode this week which features exclusive interviews with the season winner, Larkin, runner-up Mark Singson judge Mijune Pak and more.
