Summer is time for tropical fruits, tequila on the patio and citrus fruits. At Fairmont Macdonald in Edmonton, they're all combined into one fresh cocktail.
1 ½ oz. Silver Patron tequila
3/4 oz. Aperol
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. Fairmont Macdonald honey
1 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice
1 whole kiwi, sliced, plus one wedge for garnish
2 to 3 sprigs mint, plus more for garnish
In a shaker, add sliced kiwi, few sprigs of mint, tequila and muddle them together.
Add the rest of ingredients to the shaker. Then add in a few ice cubes and shake vigorously.
Strain it into a chilled pilsner glass. Garnish with kiwi and mint.
