It doesn't matter what the current food trends are, Italian cuisine will always be popular and it'll always hit the spot when you need something comforting.
To help you satisfy your cravings for creative pizzas and handmade pastas and sauces, the Joseph Richard Group is opening up a180-seat restaurant in Langley, B.C. in the former location of JRG's Oak & Thorne Public House, which has moved across the street. The first Italian concept restaurant for JRG, The Italian Osteria & Cheesebar promises to deliver not only the classics, but also a new way to try some of the lesser known cheeses in Italy via the cheese bar.
"In Italy, sharing food and drink and bonding with extended family is a centuries-old tradition, and that idea of bringing family and friends together to share great dishes is what we're all about at our establishments too," says JRG CEO and co-founder Ryan Moreno.
The menu was a collaboration between JRG director of culinary operations Matthew Stowe (who was the winner in season three of Top Chef Canada) and the JRG culinary team, which includes executive chef Andy Slinn, corporate chef David Jorge and as well as the chef of The Italian restaurant under the group, Jason Harper.
